The Paris‑Dakar Rally with David Casteu!

Our Westfalia Club Joker Urban will accompany the 2008 Central Europe Rally winner, David Casteu, from January 3rd to 17th during his 13th participation in the Paris‑Dakar Rally, serving as an official support vehicle across the deserts of Saudi Arabia.

Naturally, the Club Joker Urban will be showcased in its Premium version with all‑wheel drive, featuring an exclusive Paris‑Dakar covering.

We will be following David throughout the competition, wishing him great success, and keeping you updated on his adventure right here!

Rally Dakar 2026: A Tough Start for David Casteu

The 2026 Rally Dakar got off to a challenging start for David Casteu and his team. From the very first kilometers, the race made its demands unmistakably clear. During the second stage, a technical issue forced the driver to stop after just a few kilometers – a bitter setback, especially as this marks his first year competing in the SSV category.

But at Dakar, giving up is never an option. True to the spirit of the rally, David Casteu showed determination and resilience. After carrying out the necessary repairs, he was able to rejoin the race and once again take on the elements, battling deep sand, extreme heat, and the long distances that define this legendary event.

After four days of racing, one thing is already evident: the Dakar is not merely a competition of speed, but a true test of endurance, pitting both man and machine against some of the harshest conditions in motorsport.

Throughout the rally, Club Joker Urban continues to support the adventure alongside David’s wife Laurence, providing reliable and invaluable assistance in the demanding daily routine of the Dakar, and helping the team stay focused on the ultimate goal: reaching the finish line.

Rally Dakar: commitment, endurance and true team spirit.

The Paris-Dakar Rally has come to an end. Team Casteu rose to the extreme challenges of this legendary event, successfully completing 12 out of 13 stages. Although the team was unable to start the final stage, they demonstrated remarkable commitment, endurance and true Dakar spirit across almost the entire route, and a position among the leading contenders was not possible this time.

We are proud and grateful that the Westfalia Club Joker Urban was able to accompany the team, convincingly demonstrating its qualities in the Saudi Arabian desert. Even under the most demanding conditions, the vehicle proved itself to be robust, functional and reliable. Its thoughtful solutions for everyday life on board proved their worth precisely where durability and practicality matter most.
